Elevate your canned tuna with this Zesty Asian Tuna Burger recipe, featuring ginger and Wild Selections® Solid White Albacore Tuna In Water. Indulge in this flavorful recipe for dinner or as an appetizer. If you’d prefer a healthier meal, serve it over your favorite salad.
- 2 cans Wild Selections® Solid White Albacore Tuna In Water, drained
- 6 hamburger buns or bread rolls
- 6 cups cabbage, shredded
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, minced
- 7 teaspoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Prepare the Creamy Asian Slaw by cutting up the vegetables. Place all, except onion, in a large bowl for later. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, half the grated ginger, and 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise for slaw dressing.
Drizzle sauce over vegetables and toss to coat evenly. Set aside in the refrigerator.
Combine tuna, minced onion, and bread crumbs in a medium bowl. Flake the tuna with a fork for best result. Add mayonnaise, remaining ginger, and sriracha into the bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Scoop out a small portion of the tuna mixture and shape into patties. We recommend using a medium cookie scoop, make sure to flatten slightly before cooking.
Heat cooking oil in a non-stick pan on medium. Cook the patties in batches at 2 minutes each side until golden brown. Adjust the heat accordingly.
Halve the slider rolls. Place patty on each half and top with slaw. Serve immediately and enjoy!
