06 Mar Wild Albacore Tuna Pizza
Creating your own pizzas is a fun and delicious family activity. Using fresh ingredients and switching up your toppings makes this a quick and healthy dinner you can enjoy each week. These tuna pizzas use wild caught Solid White Albacore Tuna in olive oil and multiple cheeses for a kid-approved dinner.
- 2 5 ounce cans of Wild Selections Solid White Albacore Tuna in olive oil
- ½ cup of tomato sauce
- 4 tortillas or slices of pita bread
- 1 cup of arugula leaves
- ¾ cup of black olives
- 2 ½ cups mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup of cheddar
- 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
- 3 small red potatoes
Preheat oven to 425 F. Fill a small pot with water and bring to a boil. Drop the 3 potatoes in the pot carefully and boil for 10 minutes. Drain and let cool.
On a baking sheet, place your tortillas or pita bread and brush the extra virgin olive oil on one side. Lightly coat the oiled sides with tomato sauce.
Thinly slice the boiled potatoes and distribute them on top of the tomato sauce. Next, cover the potatoes with mozzarella cheese.
Place the pizzas in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has completely melted. Take the pizzas out of the oven and let cool for 3 minutes.
Drain the Solid White Albacore Tuna and place chunks on top of the pizzas. Do the same for the black olives. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over your other ingredients.
Finish with a few arugula leaves on each pizza. Optionally drizzle with additional olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
