26 Mar White Albacore Tuna Melt
Tuna melts are not your average hot sandwich. These use wild caught Solid White Albacore Tuna in olive oil, along with spices that will tentalize your taste buds. Not only are these tuna melts sustainable, but they are also quick and easy making them a perfect go-to-lunch whenever you may be in a rush.
- 2 5 ounce cans of Wild Selections Solid White Albacore Tuna in olive oil
- 1 chopped celery stalk
- 2 chopped red chilies with seeds removed
- 1/2 chopped red onion
- 1 cup of light mayo
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp. of butter
Preheat oven to 390 F. Drain the Solid White Albacore Tuna and place in a bowl.
In your bowl with the tuna, mix in celery, chopped red chili, chopped red onion and mayonnaise.
Take the 4 slices of sourdough, butter each side and place on a griddle or in a frying pan. Toast pieces of bread until they are golden brown.
Smear the tuna blend evenly across slices of bread. Sprinkle cheese on top of bread slices.
Place on a baking sheet and in oven. Cook until cheese has fully melted or top of bread slices are golden brown.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
