
13 Sep Italian Tuna Pasta
A fun and fresh twist to a traditional spaghetti dish, this Italian Tuna Pasta has a bright sauce featuring Wild Selections Solid White Albacore Tuna in water and some of your favorite Mediterranean flavors.
- 1 can (5 oz.) Wild Selections Solid White Albacore Tuna in water (drained)
- 1 box spaghetti pasta
- 1 can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup of sliced olives
- 5 cloves of thinly sliced garlic
- 1 minced onion
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese

In a pan, sautee onion and garlic in olive oil in a pan for about 7 minutes or until brown

Add cumin, Italian seasoning and tomatoes into pan and cook sauce for about 5-10 minutes

Boil pasta according to instructions while sauce is cooking

Add olives, capers and tuna to sauce mixture. Add salt and red pepper flakes to taste. Continue to cook sauce on medium low heat for an additional 10 minutes

Combine drained pasta into the sauce

Plate and serve with grated parmesan cheese
