19 Oct Count You In
Can we count you in to help make a difference?
From disastrous storms hitting Texas, Puerto Rico, Florida and Bangladesh, to increasing deforestation for the sake of an unsustainable ingredient. From a pristine fishery in Alaska where our salmon comes from to millions of tons of plastic polluting and killing our oceans. There is a lot going on in our world but we can still make a difference. It would be easy to hide and stay in our comfort zone. Many of these issues are happening far away from our doorstep (a blessing). Yet we live ever more so in an interconnected world where issues across our own country or around the globe impact us directly or indirectly eventually.
There are simple things we can do to make a difference.
Join us and WWF in signing petitions to:
- Help protect the pristine Bristol Bay, Alaska from the proposed Pebble Mine that could impact its abundant wildlife.
- Help save rainforests that are being cleared for palm oil that eventually is used from peanut butter to cosmetics that we use every day.
- Help convince our government to recommit to the Paris Agreement for Climate Change. We need to curb carbon pollution that leads to the warming of our oceans. This has a huge impact on wildlife and creates disastrous storms like the ones we have seen hit our shores in Texas, Puerto Rico, and Florida.
- Help protect our oceans from the more than 8 million metric tons of plastic that pollute and endanger sea life.
